I stopped by O'Briens in Brandon a few weeks ago to make a 'pit stop'. Emerged from doing so just in time to hear you sing 'Somewhere.' Excellent. I'm glad my bladder forced me to stop!!! I see a Rockit Club reference in post below. I used to play drums there with a band called Dillinger. Not that it matters, just more useless trivia for the masses!!! David Replies: Hey Someguynamedfrank...thank you my friend! I really appreciate the kind words! That is cool you use to play the Rockit club...those were great days! Hope the business has been good to you! Take Care

David, I had the wonderful opportunity to hear you sing at Talent Quest 2013. I was amazed!!! On the final day, I told you that you would be in the top 10 and were my pick to take it all. And top ten you were. Because every one is a number, I didn't know your name. I had often wondered about you this past year and told many friends about you. I finally was able to get a name which led to your fan page. You are a truly talented artist. I hope to one day soon to be blessed enough to hear you sing in person again. A new fan, Brenda David Replies: Dear Brenda, first of all thank you for writing and saying kind words! I really appreciate you taking the time and looking for me! Contests are what they are, simply contests and everyone has they're own opinion of them. I just decided to give it a shot not thinking how far I would go...it was an experience that I doubt I will ever try again but I guess I should never say never! I really do appreciate your support and hope to meet you someday!!

Well, first off I'm originally from Bel Air, Md. I heard of Mannekin as a kid but was too young to go see any shows. My brother and a friend of ours, worked at hammerjacks so I would hear about all the cool shows. I turned 18, packed my bags for the Army in 1986. I was stationed at Ft. Knox in 1986 to 88. In 1986 or 87, Toy Tiger, the local hangout for the people of Louisville, Ky, was putting on a show in some farm in the middle of nowhere Kentucky. Mannekin was going to being playing and I think the name of the farm was Jewells farm but not sure. Well, this guy from suburbs of Baltimore was not going to miss this show so ( F TROOP), that's WHAT BIG D called us from Toy Tiger, went to the farm. I had a blast in that field. Mannekin sounded great and I had to go all the way to Kentucky just to hear Mannekin play. God Bless you Dave and its really cool seeing you play with one of my favorite guitarist. God Bless You and your family and KEEP ON ROCKIN! David Replies: Hi Tom, good to hear from you and thank you for writing. First of all I am pretty sure that I remember that show considering the thousands of shows I have done but Louisville was a great place for Mannekin and I have fond memories of the Toy Tiger and Big D' (Dennis). I am glad you got to see the band, it is amazing how after all these years I still get emails & messages still talking about Mannekin. I wish we would have done more but I have no regrets! Playing with Schenker off & on for over the past 17 years has been a roller coaster ride but that's what makes it interesting, you get off and you want to get back on! I do hope this message finds you and well and I sincerely thank you for your service! My respect for our armed forces is an abundance, admiration & appreciation! God Bless you and your family!!

David I first met you when your band Mannekin played at Savvy's in Fort Worth. I met you and the band personally and would go with David sometimes to play video games or go eat with Gregg. I only came to Savvy's when your band came to town. What you didn't know was I had a little son dying of Leukemia and my only real time away was to come hear Mannekin play. My son passed away November 19, 1986 and I came one last time after that to Savvy's to hear you play and of all things you picked me out of all the girls to want to leave with..ha! However we didnt leave together. I went home to my other son.. I did enjoy feeling pretty enough to be flirted with by you at the time. I have always wondered what happened to Mannekin and thanks to facebook I have connected with everyone but Gregg. I wanted you to know I cried going through your Memory portion here. Very beautiful memories of very dear people in your life. I can relate to all the loved ones who are or who have battled cancer that you have loved. I have also found what a beautiful person you are on the inside and am grateful to have met you. Keep up this site. I enjoy reading it as you add updates. Much love - Cindy David Replies: Dear Cindy, first of all I would like to give you my deepest condolences about your son! I can't imagine going through that by any stretch of the imagination! A parent should never have to go through that! I am glad you were able to come see Mannekin even though you were going through such a tough time! As far as leaving with me, you made the right decision, I am nothing to write home about!! I do appreciate you taking the time to write to me here and say the nice things you did...I have thought about getting rid of my website but people like you and the last person who wrote before you make me rethink my decision. I do hope life has gotten better for you but I do know that there always be a void that can never be filled...God Bless you and your family!!

Hi David, saw your version of "Somewhere" on you fan page...Absolutely amazing my friend!!! It is so nice to see a singer who is not one dimensional! Your voice is off the charts with range and talent! I think you should be doing theater here in the big city!! Btw, Michael Schenker is an idiot not using you on some original material, obviously he doesn't know what he had in you as a singer!! Keep singing my friend and please keep posting anything you do! A fan for life! Jackie David Replies: Hi Jackie, first of all thank you for writing! I have been thinking about getting rid of my website but haven't pulled the trigger on it. It's people like you who keep me focused! I love using this side of my voice and would like to use it more often, I just have to find the right avenue! As far as Schenker is concerned, I have been asked that so many times. I have never figured it out and to be honest I have stopped trying to figure it out! I hope this message finds you well and I do really appreciate you taking the time to write!
