I'm am very sorry to say that today a old friend of mine passed away. Brian Jack from the band Child's Play
was a great guy and musician. Even though Brian & I were not close like we were in the 80's,
we did keep in contact through Facebook.
One particular time, he and I drove to Miami together to spend a week visiting his girlfriend
and one of my dearest friends Rowanne. Brian got a ticket for driving 90+ in a 55 mph zone in North Carolina.
It was about 3 in the morning and in that state, that was considered reckless driving so we had to go in front of the
judge before we could continue our trek to florida...I remember how much it sucked at the time but years after
that, we couldn't help but laugh about it. I know that our time will come for all of us but it doesn't make it any easier.
My prayers go out to Brian's family and hope God will give them strength through this difficult time.
I will miss you Bro!!

Below is a picture of Brian, Rowanne & me in Miami, I remember this night like it was yesterday,
we were having a good time as you can see

Traveled to Chicago a couple of nights ago to see Schenker and the boys...I got up with the band
and sang "Doctor Doctor". The fans in Chicago were as usual awesome! I want to thank Robin McCauley
for having me sing with him! Michael and I got some time to talk and he was in great spirits
and still playing amazing!
Chicago Rocks!!!

AUTOGRAPHED "DEF LEPPARD" GUITAR ON EBAY

Finally the bidding on ebay for the autographed Def Leppard Guitar will start on Wednesday, Jan. 25th.
From what I understand the item may take 24 hours to become viewable so if you don't find it right away,
keep trying periodically. Again, I would like to thank the guys for graciously signing and mailing the beautiful
Fender Guitar to help Rhonda and her medical bills!! Also, keep your eyes out for the Autographed Signature
Dean Flying V guitar signed by Michael Schenker, Uli Jon Roth & Elliot "Dean Rubinson (owner of Dean Guitars)

A quick note:

I have received a good amount of email about why I am not doing any of the upcoming tours with MSG.
Well as many of you Schenker fans know, Michael has always had a carousel of musicians and I am one of them.
Michael & I have spoken and anything can happen in the future. It has worked out well for me due to the fact that
I have some personal matters that need me to remain off the road for the time being. I have toured with MSG twice in
Mexico and a very enjoyable South American Tour this past year and I am sure there will be other tours down the road. What I will miss the most is jamming and touring with some of the best guys you ever want to meet!! I just want to thank everyone for they're support and ask to keep me and my family in your prayers!

God Bless you all

David

    • Oh David, where are you? We miss the beautiful voice of yours! Tell Schenker to wake up and bring you back to us!!! Love and kisses

David Replies: Dear Natalia, I thank you for the kind words! I love Italy and hope that I will make it back there someday soon! Lot's of love...David

    • Your story and the photo about Brian Jack are awesome. If you haven't already seen it, there is a Facebook memorial page where you can see some great tribute collections. Sorry for your loss.

Rest in Peace Brian Jack Memorial page: Oh, no links. Well search "R.I.P Brian Jack" on FB.

      Keep the memories alive!

David Replies: Thank you for writing...it is a great loss for a lot of us! Brian was my friend and we had a lot of laughs. He & I loss touch for a long time but I kept up with him through facebook and friends. I feel so sad for his family and I do pray that they're life will find some normalcy in time. It just goes to show that we shouldn't take family and friends for granted. Take care

    • David, I'm sorry to see that MSG is not coming near Florida again on this year's tour (same as last MSG tour), the only thing that makes it better is knowing that you were touring with MSG and I missed the show! You are the best, the show that you guys put on at the Ventura Theater in the late 90's was one of my top favorite rock concert memories ever...I wish the best for you and will pray for Rhonda.

David Replies: Hey Colin, that is awesome that you were at the Ventura Show, I really enjoyed playing there...after that show, I walked around and got to really enjoy the theater. I was told that it was haunted so of course I had to go spook myself. I love florida, my brother lives in Tampa and thought often about moving there. Anyway, I appreciate you writing and feel free to write anytime. Keep on Rockin' my friend...David

    • Hi David...It was great to meet you the other night after the MSG show in Liberty, as well to see ya up on stage. Up until this afternoon, I didn't really know much about you personally. I had heard ya singing here and there throughout the years, but that was about it. Curiosity got the best of me, and I cruised around your page a bit, and I gotta say, you really are one down to earth guy. You got a heart of stone man, and that's Awesome. So many "rockers" (As well as many others of us) just don't get it, or at least wont let others see their softer side. Had I known this prior to meeting you, I probably would have given ya a hug. I wish you nothing but the best I hope peace stays in your heart man!!

David Replies; Hi Gary, very nice to meet you as well! I appreciate the nice words, I would like to think that I have more substance to me than just some guy who can sing rock n' roll. I am assuming by your words that you read some of the stuff about my mother and what I went through with her. It was a tough time and don't look forward to ever going through that kind of emotion again but I am sure I will. We all will at some point in our lives. I hope this message finds you well and hopefully I will make back to Chicago in some near future. Take care bro!

    • I'm keeping you and your family in my prayers. May God give you all strength with the difficulties that come hand in hand with battling cancer. I've been through this with my Dad and my husband. It's not easy at times, but spending extra time with our loved ones is so important to keep their spirits up.

David Replies: Hello Sue, I thank you very much for your prayers! Life so far this year has been trying and most of it due to cancer. I hope that things have been positive with your dad & husband! You are right that family is very important and I do as much as I can to spend time with them. I really appreciate you taking the time and writing and hope this message finds you well.

    • David, I know that MSG are coming to Chicago in March. I know you are living close to here, not sure how I know that. Anyway, I hope that you will make it to one of the shows and sing with the almighty Schenker!!! Not a big Robin M. fan but absolutely love you. I saw you here in Chicago a long time ago and have the live dvd in Japan. I love the idea that there were no over dubs and what you hear is what you get. Well please try to make it if you can to the windy city. You rock bro!

David Replies: J.D. great to hear from you...I am assuming you are talking about the show at the Vic Theater with MSG. What a great show that was, here are a few things I remember about that show. One: The crowd was amazing and enthusiastic, I had such a good time that night. Two: I remember that no matter how hard I tried that night to get my voice to warm up before the show, I just couldn't do it. The first 3 songs for me were terrible and on the forth song, my voice kicked in and I had a great night vocally from that point on. That hasn't happened to often in my career but did that night. Three: we did a 2 hour autograph signing and that was after a 2 1/2 hour show...but it was awesome. Well J.D. I was thinking about coming out there but still not sure yet...if I do, please come up to me and say hello! Thanks for writing bro and have a good one!

    • Hi David, I wish that you were singing on the upcoming MSG tour! I see Michael has got Robin back and I guess for some, that is good but I could care less seeing what has already been done!! I much rather see you! I wish Michael would do a record with you, I have seen most of his singers over the years and you are without a doubt the best he's ever had! I am sure that bringing Robin back is all about the money but he won't get a dime from me on this tour and I speak for many of my friends. Good luck my friend and hope you will be singing for someone soon! Your the best! Byron

David Replies: Hey Byron...Well what can I say but thank you! I really appreciate you sitting down and putting your feelings into words! I get a lot of email from people just like you saying similar things you just wrote. I just do what I do and I try to do it with consistency and hopefully I leave the stage with my head held high. Michael has always changed members and from what I get from the fans, it has run a little thin but that is his decision and it is his band. I do hope that one day, as long as I stay in the business that Michael & I will make a record together...regardless, I will always be linked to MSG. Again Byron, thanks for all your support bro and write anytime...btw, I love Chicago!!

    • David...Love your voice!!! God Bless You!

David Replies: Bianca, I absolutely love Italy! Thank you for writing and God Bless you as well...David

    • You are freaking fantastic!!!! Keep rocking

David Replies: Thank you very much Gabriela...good to hear from you!!

    • David, I saw your post on Facebook about The Transiberian Orchestra and without a F%#king doubt, you would be amazing in this!!! I have seen the show twice and each time they had Jeff Scott Soto singing, I am not impressed with him and never have been! I have seen you sing several times here in New York and I remember saying to myself, there is nothing this man can't sing. I truly hope that you will get your shot with TSO cause I know you are the man my friend! Whatever you do, keep singing!!! Fan for life! Jeremy

David Replies: Ok Jeremy, Again, every now and than I get a message from someone like you who makes my whole day and this is one of them! I really appreciate the nice words and support. I absolutely would love to do the TSO show but from what I understand, the money is so good that no one ever drops off the tour and to get on it, takes an act of God. I won't lie to you, doing the show for the money would be nice but to be honest...I love the whole positive feeling the show gives. Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays! I have done some amazing things in my career but doing something like this would really make me proud. Anyway, thank you for writing Jeremy and thank you for being a fan! You Rock!
